Area:80 m2

The happiness of finding a client who wishes to finalize the realization down to the last detail does not come every day. The resident of this apartment was returning from his long-term work experience in Brussels, Belgium, and expressed exactly such a wish.

From the conservative foundation made up of light gray decor and the shade of natural oak, colorful accents emerge that are typical for each room. The client wanted each room to have its own color that would reflect the function of the respective space. Rather than trends, in this case, we relied on the psychology of colors. In the hallway, we are greeted by yellow, a warm color that evokes a sense of optimism. In the bedroom, there is a calm dark blue, representing tranquility and silence. In the study, there is dark green, which promotes concentration. The colors are determined by the shade of the material used – namely, colored MDF boards. These shades have their characteristic earthy undertone, given their form. The color comes from mixing fine wood chips with color pigments. The resulting shade is free from trendy colors. However, we believe that its effect will have a certain durability, as nature never creates anything out of place:

The centerpiece of the living space with the kitchen is a painting created by our studio specifically for the client, which should refer to his time in Brussels. On a large circle made of birch plywood, the countries of the European Union are printed according to the following key: All capitals overlap at one point. The idea of a united Europe emanates from the artwork. At the client's request, we emphasized some countries that held special meaning for him with a contrasting color.

In the design, the client also wanted to preserve some family treasures – mainly a rocking chair, which was given a luxurious renovation by the studio "Sedíme stylově." The set of dining chairs, which adapts to him in color and upholstery, also comes from their workshop.
