Apartment with a working

Educated and enterprising clients needed to create a home with children in a currently preferred location for a certain period of their lives. A suitable apartment, only a few dozen meters from their daily destinations, was located in a classic panel building with a standardized layout that underwent a complete transformation. The original building program from the era of centralized economy did not account for individual requirements arising from the free labor market. Partially supporting a family or running a business from an office in one's own apartment was a utopia on the drawing boards of normalization architects of housing estates. But precisely such a utopia was what our clients needed. The result was a fundamental reorganization of the apartment’s operation and an interior adapted to it. A separate dressing room for the bedroom is a given, along with a children's room designed to ensure the children looked forward to moving into the new space.
