Apartment Building Nad Vinohradem

The investor's intention was to create an apartment building with above-standard living in the environment of the old Braník district in Prague. For this, he chose an exceptional plot in a quiet location with a view of Barrandov, the Vltava Valley, and the Braník Brewery.
In designing the building, we realized that residential buildings must be friendly and accommodating to the existing development. The symbiosis with the surroundings and the suppression of monumentality is important for the later dialogue between the new and the old. Perhaps that is why the building resembles more the surrounding apartment villas and family homes than residential buildings. The retreat of the building's mass and the terracing is a principle by which the building responds to the slope of the plot. Where the plot is lowest, the building naturally retreats, and on the other side, it seems to sink into the slope.
Although it is an apartment building, it offers a high level of individual living. The building has numerous terraces, a peaceful environment, plenty of light in the interior, and unique views. We designed high-quality surface materials with an emphasis on detail. Thanks to the large windows, the boundary between the interior and exterior blurs, and the city lies right in front of you.
