Coworking is located on the 1st floor of a building known as the House of Services, built in the 1960s. The building initially housed office spaces for production cooperatives and was later operated as a gym.
For the purposes of coworking, we divided both side wings with glass partitions into individual private offices, while the main central nave overlooking Pardubice's main street, třída Míru, is dedicated to common areas. In the part oriented towards the inner courtyard, where the shared kitchen is located, we placed a new terrace on the roof of the existing bike storage.
The interior is loosely inspired by the 1960s in Czech design, thus referencing the time when the House of Services was built in place of the original synagogue.
A nod to this period is found in the organic shapes and geometric pattern of triangles. The colors pastel yellow, gray, and white serve as a connecting element throughout the interior.
In the custom-designed elements, we utilize materials such as printed plywood, heraklit, etc., as well as products from contemporary Czech designers (Martin Foret, J. Juřica, TON, BOMMA, Polstrin, etc.), or recycled furniture in a new guise (Navrátil's shell chairs).
Designed elements include not only printed tables but also area rugs.
Coworking has its own logo and a unified graphic style, created by Roman Černohous.
The term Cooperative acquires a new meaning in the 21st century in this context. The generous social space invites mutual meetings, fostering new collaborations and friendships.
