<translation>House of Mourning</translation>
Artistic Collaboration:Dominik Monček
Address: Pruské, Slovakia
Completion:1993

The House of Mourning lies in the middle of the cemetery in the village of Pruské. Its ancient and rich history is documented not only by inscriptions and tombstones but also by cultural and historical monuments. Distinct vertical and horizontal elements characteristically embody the significance of man on earth - the boundaries of life and death, supporting the inner content and purpose of the object. The simple floor plan of the building, in contrast to the complex form, reflects the spirit of the times. The spatial arrangement of the interior is designed to allow for intense participation in the farewell ceremony. The glazing of the hall enhances the communication between the interior and the exterior. The design of the surrounding greenery has a relaxing effect, creating harmony and a bridge with the environment. The object was realized in 1993 in artistic collaboration with mgr. art. Dominik Monček.
