At the very edge of a small village in South Bohemia, in an area interwoven with renowned South Bohemian ponds, a mini house has emerged as a refuge to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
The concept of the house is based on a classic rural archetype. The basic mass with a gable roof is, however, pragmatically supplemented by a rectangular cuboid, with the intersection of the two masses stemming from the internal layout and is therefore evident in the interior as well.
The house is located in close proximity to a water surface, making the entire main facade of the house fully glazed to allow direct contact with the exterior.
The main living space is designed generously. Thanks to the fact that it is fully open to the ceiling, the space is surprisingly airy despite the small floor area.
In the interior, structural elements come to the forefront. Steel I-beams are exposed and complemented by a slender steel staircase with wooden treads and other steel furniture. Everything is enhanced with wooden elements and color-neutral accessories. The main interior motif is, after all, the outdoor scenery, which changes literally every minute and creates an unrepeatable atmosphere.
