The new seal enclosure at the Prague Zoo is designed as a cove in a cliff, which forms a natural amphitheater. It offers visitors three paths: with views underwater in the cave, with seating in the amphitheater, or an adventurous path with a viewpoint from the cliff. Scenic effects are enhanced by an entrance over a footbridge with a waterfall between the rocky crevices.

Basalt was used for the scenic modifications. A total of 1,500 tons (300 m³) of natural stone is present in the exhibit. This is complemented by artificial rocks made from colored concrete, which is sprayed onto a metal frame, with the final surface treatment being the work of artists.

The area is spatially divided by the cliff - in front of it is the visitor area, while behind and beneath it is the support facility.
The exhibition pool, made of water construction concrete, has a kidney shape. Its area is 360 m² and its volume is 530 m³; the maximum depth here is 250 cm. A slide for seals leads from the cliff into the pool.

The support facilities house the water cleaning machinery and holding pools for the seals (one outdoor holding pool and three enclosed indoor pools), facilities for the keepers, and a holding yard for the seals. The internal space with the holding pools can be divided with movable walls so that even in the case of the necessary isolation of a certain animal, the seals do not lose contact with each other.
