The interior of the apartment in a newly built residential building in Dejvice was already the second project for the same client. Although construction of the building was already underway, changes to the layout were successfully pushed through with the developer. The original layout, which was not very fortunate due to its significantly elongated proportions, was elevated into an advantage. This created an elegant space longitudinally divided by a furniture wall into two halves. One part is social, with a living room, dining area, and kitchen, while the other part is private, with bedrooms. A terrace runs along the entire eastern and southern façade of the apartment. The color scheme of the interior is based on the contrast of a dark floor and a central wall in high-gloss creamy white. An original and unconventional solution is used for the library; to maximize the feeling of lightness, the back of the library is designed with a transparent glass cladding laid over fabric wallpaper. Glass shelves are cantilevered from the back. The overall impression of lightness is enhanced by upper lighting that passes through the books and across the glass shelves. This simple color concept is complemented by colorful accents of individual furniture pieces.
