The main source of inspiration for the interior design project of the town hall building of Prague 4 was the very object being reconstructed. The Neo-Renaissance building, with its rich stucco decoration in public and social spaces, led to the use of artistic means that draw from historical citation and context (supplemented by elements of contemporary design). The aforementioned effort for the symbiosis of old and new thus manifested itself in the chosen color schemes of the paintings, the selection of light fixtures and the overall lighting concept, the use of ornamental décors in certain parts of the furnishings, as well as in the choice of formats (scales of structures) for the cladding or pavements.
