The company Konsepti specializes in comprehensive interior solutions and the sale of a selected range of design furniture, both standard and custom-made. And it is precisely for such a company that we received a task to create a background within the newly relocated showroom of the Holport complex (the Holport complex is now a place that has become the headquarters of many design-related companies due to the extension with new additions above the old factory hall).
The showroom and the office spaces are located in the part of the former Holesovice manufacturing hall. The hall itself, with its old industrial atmosphere, is a truly unique space. This impressive place, with its concrete beam ceilings and typical original factory windows, has been complemented only by fragile, clear glass partitions that form the only boundary between the showroom and the offices, thus keeping them visually as part of the showroom.
The intention was to create an interior with a minimum of expressive means and shapes. An environment has emerged that can be combined with the constantly changing face of the showroom and at the same time serves as a workspace that is not typical for ordinary, uniform offices.
The distinctive shades of green that appear on the walls and ceiling, combined with black used in the furniture elements, are colors derived from the brief, from the company’s color palette.
The Konsepti logo is created as a pattern on the door handles made of black sheet metal and appears in a dynamic form on the glass as safety graphics.
The light atmosphere is accentuated by handles on the cabinets made from hemp ropes and hand-drawn pictograms on the doors and mirrors of the toilets by Silvie Luběnová.
The reception, which was realized with a longer time delay, is connected to the already created concept with its shape simplicity, color, logo, and chosen materials (black steel, glass, black furniture elements). Only the direct printing technology on metal (by the company Spyron), used on the reception's own shell, is relatively new for us.
