The offices of Metalimex a.s.

The assignment for the reconstruction of the entrance floor and offices of the building on Štěpánská Street is based on the investor's request to create a representative entrance to the building, linking to the main communication nodes of the building, and the request for the reconstruction of meeting rooms and offices.
The subject of the modifications was the cleaning of the spatial remnants of previous reconstructions with an effort to maximize the openness of the space, all with respect to the original architectural details of the First Republic building.
The design emphasizes the simplicity of detail and material purity.
The entrance hall, accessible directly from Štěpánská Street, fully utilizes the structural height of the ground floor. Its volume is supported by a glossy stretched ceiling. The hall is illuminated by a display window, from which all elements obstructing the view into the street have been removed. Sufficient lighting for the unlit parts is ensured by a composition of linear fixtures utilizing reflections from the glossy ceiling. The entire entrance area, including the connected communication pathways, is linked by a poured terraco floor.
