House of Brazil

The hostel for Brazilian students and academic staff was designed by architect Lúcio Costa. However, the final form of the design was developed in Le Corbusier's Paris studio. All student rooms are oriented to the east, each has its own loggia and outdoor sunshades. Just a few dozen meters west of the Brazilian pavilion lies the far more famous Swiss pavilion, which Le Corbusier designed a quarter of a century earlier.
