Museum of the Metoděj Vlach Foundation

More than 100 years have passed since the first public flight of an airplane constructed by Metoděj Vlach in Mladá Boleslav. To commemorate this event, an aviation museum has been built in Mladá Boleslav, unique in its scope and planned content.
In the museum-hangar, visitors will see over 30 aircraft, including 11 fully functional replicas from the Metoděj Vlach Foundation, which they will be able to actually try out. In addition, the facility will offer a variety of interactive elements for education and entertainment, spaces for various events, lectures, and meetings not only for specialists but also for the general public of all ages.
The facility is intended to serve as the publicly accessible Metoděj Vlach Aviation Museum, where replicas and originals of old aircraft, displays of aviation technology, period posters, documents, aviation trophies, etc., will be exhibited, as well as flight simulators. At the same time, presentation and educational events for both experts and the general public will take place here. In the northern corner, there is an observation tower and a so-called jump tower equipped with interactive elements, designed for simulating a parachute drop for interested members of the public.
The museum also includes an administrative area for museum staff, pilot facilities, a lecture hall, and a café with its own amenities.
At the same time, part of the facility needs to serve as a classic hangar, as some of the exhibited specimens are functional machines and are used during air days and similar events. And since these machines are operated and serviced on-site, they can also be utilized for the museum exhibition's purposes, providing visitors with a unique opportunity to glimpse into the workings of functional machines and the secrets of their maintenance.
