The network of existing MediPort practices, focusing on ophthalmological – eye care, has united under one roof. This is under the roof of the multifunctional complex PORT7 in Prague’s Holešovice, where the Eye Center Prague is also located. The center provides primary eye care even to the smallest clients within the children's department MediPortík.

The fit-out of the center is located on the second above-ground floor. The space is accessible via stairs and an elevator from the ground floor and underground garage. The floor offers unique views of the Vltava River, Troja, and Holešovice train station. On a floor area of 728 square meters, waiting rooms, stations, an equipment room, and a total of 16 practices are realized for clients. For employees, a basic hygiene facility with a day room is designated in the layout.

Harbor, port, MediPort. This genesis also informs the concept of the new interior. The main inspiration is the Vltava River – its speed, energy, and water element. The concept is reflected in the layout solution and enhances the artistic and visual character of the interior. It is symbolized by interior elements such as spring, flow, dock, bay, and confluence. The entrances to individual practices freely represent the tributaries of the Vltava River. MediPortík adapts its concept more for children, making it playful and stimulating imagination.

The ideological aspect of the design has been tested against the basic requirements for efficient and safe operation of a timeless healthcare facility. The implementation complied with the requirements of the PORT7 building to maintain LEED Platinum certification. Waves of the Vltava are visible on the walls, on the floor, and on the ceiling. Blue tones of vinyl flooring distinguish the individual operational zones. Nautical motifs are discernible on doors with round portholes. Solid walls are visually divided by blue corrugated sheet metal combined with laminated graphics. Inverse graphics are applied to the surfaces of glass partitions. The technical equipment of the ceiling is acknowledged and unified in a blue tone.

A fundamental accent is provided by signal orange elements that facilitate movement and orientation for clients during their visit. These include wayfinding signs, room labels, and comfortable variable seating. There are options of orange upholstered boats or blue city furniture. The crown of the wavy interior is the Vltava, in the form of an atypical light fixture, flowing throughout the entire floor. The Vltava enters the interior also thanks to views of the surroundings.

The new and fresh MediPort with MediPortík offers its small and large clients an extraordinary experience and invites them for further docking.
