The company Press-Hammer manufactures compressors and all accessories for compressed air. Its headquarters is located in a building that was previously used for various purposes and has undergone several renovations. The building is situated along the main road in the village of Veselá near Mnichovo Hradiště.
The main intention was to modify the front part of the house facing the street, to expand office spaces, and to create a better presentation of the company. The addressed section is designed as a simple block mass with a flat roof, featuring a facade made of black folded sheet metal. The uniformly treated facade is interrupted by window openings, and the entrance area is highlighted by a protruding surround in smooth white plaster. The remaining part of the production hall has remained unchanged, except for the cleaning of unsuitable elements, the removal of roof overhangs, and the facade was treated in a uniform light gray color.
New surfaces were created for the hardened areas throughout the entire complex, with the front portion facing the street being landscaped and enhanced with garden modifications.
In the front part of the building towards the street, a showroom with a sales area is designed on the ground floor, which is connected to the floor above, where the offices and a conference room are located, by a staircase situated in the showroom. The interior is designed in a black-and-white combination, just as the facade of the building is conceived. The central corridor on the upper floor is illuminated by a linear roof skylight, and glass doors in a frameless design are proposed for the individual offices.
Considering the existing condition of the building, additional waterproofing and renovation measures were designed for part of it. At the site of the extension, the existing roof made of pitched trusses was removed, part of the perimeter wall was demolished, and new reinforced concrete columns were realized. The existing and new parts are interconnected by a crown. Both ceilings consist of prefabricated ceiling panels. The windows combine aluminum and plastic frames in a black finish. The perimeter wall of the front part is insulated with mineral wool, and the facade consists of a ventilated facade with aluminum folded sheet metal of alternating widths. The entrance surround is made of white facade plaster on substrate boards on a steel protruding frame. The internal staircase is made of steel from welded sheets with a steel plate railing.
