Reconstruction of the multipurpose hall SOUE Vejprnická

Scope
Reconstruction and extension of the multipurpose hall of the Secondary Vocational School of Electrical Engineering in Plzeň. The facilities were outdated and, in certain respects, even undersized. Therefore, we are expanding the facilities for the hall and designing its facade and interior.

Inspiration
The visual inspiration for the object is the sine wave of alternating current and electrical discharges. The sine wave is incorporated into the profiling of the wall cladding in both the interior and exterior, which shines in an almost electrifying manner. The lighting of the main spaces of the facilities is inspired by electrical discharge, winding through the corridor like a conductor. The exterior of the object dramatically changes its appearance due to the backlighting of the facade, thus reflecting the state inside the object. This gives the surrounding area a signal that something is happening in this machine. The furnishings of both the indoor and outdoor areas are in red to attract attention like indicator lights on a dashboard.
