Reconstruction of the manufacturing complex mmcité
Collaboration:Radek Hegmon, David Karásek, Jaroslav Holub, Jitka Pospíšilová
Investor:mm cite a.s.
Project:2008
Completion:2008–2009

Designers David Karásek and Radek Hegmon approached us to visit the old buildings of the former pig farm and the adjacent structures in the village of Bílovice, not far from Uherské Hradiště. They were impressed by our transformation project for the UAX company in Bernartice and entrusted us with this joint endeavor.
The investor, a significant manufacturer and seller of urban furniture, requested a new look for the existing complex, which would serve for the company's management, administration, production, and warehousing. A new street is proposed among the buildings. The entrance building is expanded with an annex.
The goal of the architectural solution was to design a simple annex that connects to the existing building, featuring the same roof. This so-called new coat for the building should serve as an advertisement for the company and further enhance the appearance of the former JZD building. It involves creating a new facade made of silver façade foils for the first building and silver profiled sheets for the second building, with new windows proposed from aluminum frames.
The concept for the redevelopment of the complex and the project documentation for the building permit were prepared by the studio kamil mrva architects under the leadership of Ing. arch. Kamil Mrva. The implementation alterations of the interior and part of the exterior were designed by ak. soch. Luděk del Maschio.
