Family Houses

This early work by Fuchs is the result of a search for simple, quality, and affordable housing. In the years 1922-23, a number of similar proposals were developed in the municipal building office, and ultimately, Fuchs's six-unit building proved to be the best, along with the nearby houses by J. Grunt and J. Kumpošt. Despite very low construction costs, Fuchs managed to achieve a significant aesthetic effect through the use of a two-layer and two-color facade.
