Family House Králův Dvůr

The wooden structure on a square base stands by the cemetery wall, on a newly developed slope above the village. The house is positioned in the upper part of the plot to take advantage of the views of the surrounding landscape. The framework of the spatial layout defines a square of 15 by 15 meters. Between three blocks of private rooms, there is an open living space that connects to covered terraces. Instead of a fence along the property boundary, the house is surrounded by a translucent scarf made of closing shutters.
The house is based on foundation strips, and the structure consists of a wooden frame filled with studs, while the interior partitions are plasterboard. The ceiling supported by the walls of the boxes and the columns of the glazed walls forms a grid of wooden I-beams. The flat ventilated roof is covered with a layer of gravel. The house is thermally insulated with mineral wool within its wooden structure. The ventilated outer shell is made of larch battens with a gap.
