Family house in Český Krumlov

The villa from the 1930s is almost in its original condition. It is largely basement-equipped. The attic was uninsulated and unused. The house was originally divided into two apartments, and the technical equipment of the house corresponds to the time of its construction, with enormous energy demands for heating. The property is located in the heritage zone of the town of Český Krumlov. In our proposal, the exterior of the house remains preserved. There is no need to change what is good. The idea of "renovation" focuses on the interior. The bedrooms are designed to be on the ground level with minimal impact on the current layout. The second floor is open throughout the house and connected to the attic. The mansard roof will insulate all important living spaces after insulation.
