The client's brief called for a peaceful house aimed at achieving sufficient sunlight from both the northern and southern sides of the building. The entire construction is to some extent determined by the terrain, which encourages the creation of a three-story unit. This solution effectively utilizes the internal spaces in terms of sunlight. The house is zoned in terms of horizontal division so that the staircase communication is used as little as possible – ideally across one floor. The entrance to the house is therefore at ground level relative to the access road, meaning that in the vertical division, it is positioned in the middle of three height levels.
The building itself is designed as a residential unit of the character 6+kk (containing a classic layout of 5+kk + a separate unit that will have its own entrance and sanitary facilities). The garden is divided by the position of the house into a northern part with a large terrace and views of the surroundings and a southern part containing, among other things, a hidden terrace below ground level, which creates an intimate nook.
The house has a clear and direct idea – to gain sunlight, to gain views, and to provide comfortable and fully-fledged living according to the clients' requirements. The children's rooms are located on the third floor and face south, where the privacy of the users is maintained thanks to the elevation of the floor above the street. This position allows for sunlight to be received practically throughout the day. The social zone (living room, kitchenette, etc.) located on the lowest floor offers the possibility of direct connection to this part with the garden.
