Competition proposal for a safe access route to the Trestles surf center near San Diego.
The assignment is to not burden the protected area and ensure the safety of the crossing over the rapid transit line that runs through this area.

The motivation for the proposal for its real use is a double bridge – a dual route from the highway parking lot in two directions, to two points with the best conditions – surf hotspots.
The system of direct connection and the possibility of two directions when entering the beach without the need to vertically overcome obstacles, primarily the railway, guarantees that no other routes will be used.

The architectural and artistic concept is based on the interplay of the character of the terrain, its greenery, and the technical structure.
The network is tensioned between solid steel truss structures that are also transparent, but their denser, stronger structure defines significant points of direction.
They define the entries – connection points between the access road and the beach.
The connection and structural reinforcement of both bridges creates a flat, landscape-forming, but barely noticeable element, enriching the landscape and softening the entries of architecture into the landscape.
The artistic effect is supported by the vibrant colors of the entire structure.
Bright subtle lines above the landscape.
