Service center of Toner Recycling Service

The service center of a dynamically developing company is situated on the edge of the town of Poděbrady. The elongated plot adjoins the main road easily accessible from the D11 motorway. The building was created in a developing area on a "greenfield."
We aimed to fulfill the client's vision of a simple functional building that would serve as an advertisement for the company. Hence, the concept arose with a façade acting as advertising utilizing the company's logo abbreviation.
The individual spatial units are clearly readable in the volumes of the building. The store and operational storage spaces, administration, and reserve areas for the company's development, as well as the owner's service apartment. The entire building is connected by a central spine corridor illuminated by three roof skylights. The individual partial spaces are connected to the corridor. Everything is accessible with dry feet. The elongated building is oriented with the store and the director's office, on the second floor, facing the approach to Poděbrady. At the rear of the building, there is space left for the "factory owner's villa" situated unusually behind the parapet on the second floor of the building. The residential part of the apartment with a roof terrace is placed in such a way that, even on a busy road within a largely industrial building, a residential private micro-world with a view of the Polabí fields is created. The façade of the elongated volume culminates with a narrowing in plan and the rise of a steel mesh at the location of the glazed store, which is to be the most open part of the service building. The protruding metal mesh of the façade serves as both a visual attraction and a sunshade. The size of the windows in the protruding façade is chosen to protect the building without closing it off.
