The residential buildings of the VILAPARK JINONICE are the first phase of an extensive construction plan - the reconstruction and revitalization of the historical area of the Jinonice Agricultural Estate - the so-called "Zámeček."
A truly vibrant local center offering various activities is to be created here.
The rear part of the complex is complemented by new residential buildings - partly by reconstructing the original barns, including the preservation of the heights of cornices and ridges (the so-called "loft" buildings) - and in the place of the former garden in the form of four four-story apartment buildings amidst greenery. These are located on the site of former garden houses and sheds. The design of the apartment buildings is enhanced by bay windows and loggias, which float amidst the austere volumes of the buildings. Their structured colored plaster, in contrast to the glass-cement façade panels in a natural unpainted finish, accentuates this expression.
The materials used in construction correspond to a higher standard and the historical environment, where their natural color and texture are evident, and they age naturally without demanding maintenance.
The complex is closed on one side by a historic wall and on the other by a hedge. On the southern side, it defines an urbanistically valuable "street" leading to the central historical object. Towards the new apartment buildings, the wall delineates a very intimate space for the front gardens of the ground-floor apartments. The rest of the original garden is left as a park, restoring the original axial arrangement and featuring a garden gazebo. Operationally, these parts share underground garages with direct access to the buildings.
