Jan Šépka: Kašny, kopce a mrak - výstava v Kadani

In 2022, a study of the modifications to Peace Square in Kadaň was created, focusing primarily on the restoration of the significance of fountains that once complemented the overall composition of this important space. Today, the square features the column of the Holy Trinity and, on its southern side, a fountain called Šlikovský pond. However, the northern side of the square remains empty.
Architect Jan Šépka, in his study, seeks the lost balance, spatial tension, and tranquility that have faded from the square over the years. His design addresses not only the return of the fountains but also the pavement, lighting, greenery, and small elements that give the space its character and soul.
The Rosary Chapel offers guided tours of the exhibition dedicated to the modifications of Peace Square every weekend from 1 PM to 5 PM, including the design of new fountains. The exhibition will be open until October 12, 2025.
