Cities around the world face enormous but very similar challenges – from the loneliness of seniors to flooding in cities and polluted air.
The UN Agenda for Sustainable Development 2030 provides a framework solution to many of these problems. The key role of cities and communities is specifically described in Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 11. However, in our exhibition, you will see that solving urban issues goes beyond achieving Goal 11 and is connected to many others.
The Nordic countries are strong supporters of the UN Agenda 2030 and have come up with many solutions that can contribute to fulfilling its Sustainable Development Goals.
This exhibition presents some of the solutions that Nordic architects and engineers are already working on in the areas of health, mobility, carbon footprint reduction, circular economy, and urban resilience.
The Nordics are on the path to sustainable development, and we hope you will find inspiration in them!
