Egon Fritz Wilhelm Eiermann was one of the most significant German architects of the second half of the 20th century.
1922 - graduation in Nowawes, east of Potsdam
1923-27 - studied architecture at the Technical University in Berlin-Charlottenburg, master school under Hans Poelzig
1928-29 - architect at the Hamburg construction office Karstadt AG
1929-30 - architect at the Berlin Electric Works (Berliner Elektrizitätswerken - BEWAG)
1931-36 - joint architectural office with Fritz Jaenecke
1931-43 - independent architect in Berlin
1943 - relocation of the office to Beelitz-Heilstätten
1945 - relocation of the office to Buchen
1946 - independent architect in Mosbach
1946-65 - joint architectural office with Robert Hilgers
1947-70 - full professor of architecture, spatial planning, and design at the Technical University in Karlsruhe
from 1965 - awarded an honorary doctorate from the Technical University in Berlin
