Biography
He was born in Vienna, and after graduating from high school in 1981, he began studying architecture at the Vienna University of Technology and also worked for "Arge Reinberg/Trebersburg/Raith" and "Atelier in der Schönbrunner Straße." From 1989 to 1990, he worked at TU Wien as a student assistant. After obtaining his diploma in 1992, he worked for architects Helmut Richter and Helmut Wimmer. In 1994, he founded the office company Dunkl/Erhartt with Jakob Dunkl. In 1998, together with Jakob Dunkl, Peter Sapp, and Michael Zinner, who left in 2004, they established the architectural firm "querkraft." In addition to his own architectural practice, he also engaged in teaching activities at the Technical University of Vienna (2001-04, visiting professor 2009) and at Roger Williams University in the USA (2001). Since 2002, the architectural firm querkraft has received approximately 30 awards, including the City of Vienna Architecture Prize (2016).
