Biography
Juhani Uolevi Pallasmaa is a Finnish architect and former dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the Technical University of Helsinki. From 1978 to 1983, he was a co-founder and subsequently the director of the Museum of Finnish Architecture and the head of the Institute of Industrial Art in Helsinki. Early in his career, his interest in standardization led him to collaborate with Kristian Gullichsen (1932-2021) on prefabricated houses. In addition to his own practice, which he has operated since 1983, he also contributed to the preparation of exhibitions and published a number of theoretical articles and books, two of which have been translated into Czech.
