From Onions to Designer Switches

Few people know that our story began in the 1960s with peeling onions, and our main mission was to secure job opportunities for people with disabilities and altered work abilities. We have not forgotten our roots – even today, a significant share of workers with disabilities is employed in our operations, and the skill of their manual work is rightfully highly valued. However, they no longer peel onions.

Building on our long-standing experience in the production of cam switches for home and industry, which has established and strengthened our position in the Czech market, we transitioned at the turn of the millennium to the development and subsequent production of residential electrical installations in the form of switches, sockets, and other controls. Since these elements are gaining importance in current interiors in aesthetic terms, we have prepared several collections that stand out in the wide competition with their design and capabilities.

VECTIS

The minimalist VECTIS switches operate on the principle of lever control, which is particularly popular abroad. The visible aluminum panel is available in two shape designs and nine exclusive metallic shades – white, black, silver, gold, gold patina, and brushed variants in copper, gold, aluminum, and titanium colors. The VECTIS collection panels offer up to four configurations in vertical and horizontal arrangements, and in addition, a groundbreaking mounting method – thanks to the magnetic design, they can simply be clipped onto the devices and aligned flush.

RETRO

The desirable retro appearance inspired by the First Republic predecessors of the RETRO switches is complemented by a characteristic period clicking sound. This sound effect, which occurs when turning the central handle, is provided by the electrical mechanism from the classic industrial cam switch produced by us. The round frame of the RETRO switches and sockets is available in two basic materials that reflect earlier styles – wood and ceramics. The white ceramic frames also offer completely unique designs with hand-painted motifs inspired by folk patterns. Four traditional Haban patterns are available. Interiors in a modern interpretation of the retro style are perfectly complemented by timeless glass and original concrete frame designs. The RETRO collection can also be equipped with lever control.

DECENTE

The admirably thin rectangular frame of the DECENTE residential electrical installation creates an exceptional 3D effect due to its slight offset from the wall. The switches and sockets of this collection can be purchased in a wide range of materials. In addition to wood veneers in oak, walnut, and mahogany finishes, the DECENTE collection also offers glass frames in a total of eighteen shades, including four matte and two mirrored. Their attractive appearance is enhanced by metal in the form of glossy stainless steel or matte aluminum, as well as concrete with a characteristic porous structure, which is unusual for residential electrical installations. The concrete frames are made from a special mixture containing micro-reinforcement fibers, which ensure their strength.

ELEGANT

The unobtrusive design with gentle rounding on the sides of the square frame of the ELEGANT switches and sockets creates a harmonious whole with any interior style. The frames and control covers are made from high-quality plastics - polycarbonates, which ensure overall durability due to their composition and also color stability thanks to UV stabilizers. The ELEGANT switches and sockets are available in a wide range of shades and their combinations – from pastels to vibrant, saturated, and metallic tones.
