Griffini and Carlo Calzecchi. During his studies, he contributed as a caricaturist to satirical newspapers. He graduated in 1910 and received the gold medal from the Milan College of Engineers and Architects. He worked on hydropower plants for the electrical company Conti. During World War I, he worked for the army in the regions of Veneto and Friuli. After the war, he revived his architectural practice. Ettore Conti introduced him to Milan's high society, and he began to have as clients the most prominent families in the city. In 1929, he designed the Italian pavilion for the World Exhibition in Barcelona. From 1934 to 1938, he worked on the preservation of the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, and he continued this work after the war, increasingly focusing on educational activities and professional organizations.
