Biography
Walmyr Lima Amaral studied architecture in 1954 at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (formerly FNA/UB). He collaborated alongside Affonso Eduardo Reidy on the project for the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro. From 1953, he was an assistant in the office of Henrique Mindlin and in 1964 he was one of the founding partners of the office Henrique Mindlin Associados. Since 1975, he has been active in the Instituto dos Arquitetos do Brasil (IAB) in Rio de Janeiro, and in addition, he contributes to the commission of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards.
