The basic idea of the project was to build a sports center for the needs of beach volleyball. A private investor, himself a great athlete, decided to create a sports center of a quality to which he is accustomed. After initial considerations, the project's program settled on the projection of two outdoor and two covered sandy courts. The facility's location near a primary school offers close cooperation with the youth, and the proximity of the housing estate provides recreational activities for the residents of the city.

Beach volleyball originated from sandy seaside shores, so it was necessary to support the lightness and, if possible, the translucency of the covering of the indoor hall in the architectural composition. The hall utilized a basic arch of a wooden glued truss, which is covered by a double-shell pneumatic textile membrane. The shape of the arch corresponds to the trajectory of the ball played in this game. The translucency of the covering allows for a lantern effect, which enriches the city's nighttime scenery. The gabled cladding is dismantled in summer, thus enhancing the lightness of summer operations. Winter operations rely on the closed double-shell pneumatic cladding and an internal air conditioning system that ventilates and heats. The air conditioning center is located under the hall itself and utilizes gas sources.

For the outdoor courts, the support facility is longitudinally oriented with a terrace, featuring an overlapping canopy that helps shield against the western sun. The support facility consists of two floors. The first, sub-level, contains a sauna center - here you will find a classic Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, a steam sauna, a cryosauna, and in the near future, an infrared sauna will also be installed. The second floor of the building contains a clubhouse and facilities for players. With the support of the investor, the design of the building's interiors was also part of the project. The goal was to create a simple, modest, and functional interior.

The support facility is masonry and clad in Siberian larch without surface treatment on the second floor, the roof consists of wooden nailed trusses clad with Cetris boards painted white. The clubhouse floor is mainly glazed and open to all the courts, primarily through the terrace. In the gap between the clubhouse and the hall, there are outdoor showers shielded by wood. During the winter, a simple arched tunnel made of a lightweight steel structure covered with the same textile as the hall will help connect the locker rooms with the hall.

Material solutions, layout, orientation towards the cardinal directions, urban integration into the city - all of this brings life to the sports scene in the city, which is, by the way, very well equipped for sporting life in all aspects.
