The project is situated over the M-30 highway and emphasizes the public and contemporary presence of “the great void in movement“, offering an abstract front which measures itself against this artificial accident in scale and image, concentrating all of the common uses of the house around large glazed galleries, - balconies over the motorway, intended also as a cushion to mitigate the strong and constant noise.
A pioneering project in the use use of specific architectural resources wich have become central in social housing, such as, in the authors' words, “the elimination of structural obstacles in the interior of the dwellings, the use of construction techniques which allow rapid and economic changes of distribution, or the conception of the outside envelope – including the roof, as an inverted wall with an air way and a light exterior layer“.
