Be Free Fitness

In the historic center of the town of Uherský Brod, not far from Masaryk Square, there is an inconspicuous building where a family company has successfully operated its fitness center for several years. In 2018, the fitness center was expanded by an additional floor. The interior design is based on revealing individual layers down to the basic structural essence of the building, thus adhering to the purity and truthfulness that correspond to the principles and spirit of fitness sports. To minimize the amount of materials used, we removed all accumulations from past eras throughout the space and literally stripped it down, including the wall plaster. This revealed the original structural elements in their beauty and technical detail. The newly utilized floor space is divided into two operational units, a strength zone and a crossfit zone. A new feature is the inserted steel staircase with steps made of perforated steel and a railing made of expanded metal. To optically enlarge the space, selected walls were lined with mirrors that are also suitable for practicing some exercises.
