The villa is located in the Zlín district of Lužkovice. It is situated in its peripheral area, predominantly composed of family houses and villas from the 1970s to the 1990s. The plot has a southern orientation and slopes quite significantly down to the valley by the meander of the Dřevnice River. The owners' wish was to create a modern, airy home that would provide a background for their family, create space for gatherings with friends, and bring at least a piece of California's atmosphere to Zlín, where they had lived for several years prior. The house is essentially a two-storey prism that adapts to the morphology of the surrounding terrain. From the street, it evokes the appearance of a single storey, and at this entrance level is the social part of the house. The space of the kitchen with dining area and living room is shaped by a wall with an integrated gas fireplace. The living room, kitchen, and dining area can be connected through sliding HS portals to the adjacent terrace, from which an outdoor staircase also leads up to the rooftop terrace. This terrace offers views of the southeastern edge of the urban development of Zlín and the wooded hills of the Vizovické Hills nature park. The lower floor is a private zone for family life and opens up to the pool and relaxation garden. The façade of the building is made up of a combination of thin-layer white silicone plaster and a ventilated façade made of Cembrit fiber-cement facade panels. Custom-made interiors are dominated by glossy white surfaces with matte black accents, oiled oak wood, and glass. The emphasis was placed on connecting the interior with the surrounding garden and the backdrop of the adjacent forest. The garden is complemented by elements of desert greenery, such as sprawling grasses and low yuccas, while the green roof enhances the feeling of a desert with its gas fire pit, which is a central element of the parents and their friends' chill-out zone.
