The interior of the apartment was reconstructed for a family with a small child. The cross-lit layout of the three-room apartment in the extension provides a discreet solution, predominantly in shades of gray. An atypical wall serves as the focal point of the apartment, aesthetically and functionally connecting the open space.

Location and structural modifications
In the environment of Bratislava's Päťsto Apartments, an additional two full floors and one recessed floor were built in 2012. Apartment BCK is located on the sixth floor. The original layout saw the wall to the kitchen demolished, floors and doors dismantled, and tiles, fixtures, and kitchen units removed. In line with the modifications, the electrical installation was redone.

Assignment
The original layout provided a quality basis for the new interior concept. The investor's main request was for a new, almost monochromatic design, dominated by gray-blue tones.

Interior concept
The apartment has separate zones: intimate and social. In the concept of an open living area, atypical elements with mobile furniture, lighting, and black details such as handles, switches, and gray upholstery and textiles take the lead. The gray-blue corner wall with slits for opening is a defining element of the interior. It transitions from the hallway into the kitchen, and compositionally, it is closed off by a black kitchen niche. The wall includes flush doors to a pantry. The kitchen island, highlighted by the texture of polished Quartzite, separates the dining area. A clever bar is also hidden in a niche in the living room, and air conditioning is elegantly concealed behind the perforated section. Black gres on the walls of the bathroom and toilet allows the gray gres pattern on the floor to resonate. The apparent uniformity of the apartment is disrupted by salmon-pink accents: the cube-shaped cabinet under the sink and the cylinder-shaped coffee table in the living room. The full-area wooden floor made of bleached oak supports the harmony and compactness of the modern interior design.
