Architect: Jan Bek
Completion:05 / 2018
Area:45 m2

The apartment was purchased in a shell and core state. From the original attic space, it has been newly licensed as a residential unit with a modest area of 45 m². This involved a comprehensive construction reconstruction that allowed us to define every detail of the apartment. We tried to optimize the small size of the apartment as much as possible.
The unit is now designed as a 2kk. The original hallway space has now been connected to the living room, allowing us to maximize the area of the living room. A dominant beam has emerged here, which we have custom-built and thus created a central point of the entire apartment, where the kitchen island with cooking area is located. On the other side, you will find the washing area, a technical cupboard with a boiler, and a built-in refrigerator. Everything is connected into one compact wall. In the living room, you will find a TV wall dominated by a brick veneer and an open library under the windows. The living room with a passthrough kitchen is preceded by an entrance hall with an integrated shoe rack and a wall covered with one brick strip with wooden hangers. Additionally, in the apartment, we find a bathroom with a shower corner and a bedroom. The bedroom is still not finished at present due to financial reasons, and therefore you will unfortunately not find it in the photos yet.

As for the material solution, the entire interior is tuned to a combination of white and black. The white surfaces are made of lacquered MDF and the wood decor is represented by oak veneer. The floor is laminate mimicking oak wooden flooring supplied by SPO. The bathroom completely stands out from the rest of the apartment with its dark color. Although it is the smallest room in the apartment and also without windows, we were not afraid of the darkness. Dark Caesar tiles, along with LED backlighting strips, create a pleasant wellness feeling and a good place to relax. Since I am not a fan of chrome and chrome surfaces, you would look in vain for them in the bathroom space. Chrome is represented by black end elements. The sanitary ware is also in black. The complete delivery was assembled in cooperation with the company Keramika Soukup. The sink is concrete from the company Gravelli.

The apartment is furnished only with Czech furniture manufacturers, as I am a fan of Czech furniture. You will find, for example, oak chairs from the company Ton, a solid table from the company Situs, and a beautiful crystal lamp from the company Bomma. The Mobau doors with cross veneer are adorned with handles from the Czech company M&T.

In conclusion, I would like to thank all the suppliers mentioned above, who helped us fulfill our dream of living. I am very glad that over time I managed to filter out only the highest quality and, above all, the most reliable ones, with whom it is a pleasure to work. Thank you.
