The building was constructed in the 1930s and exhibits very simple to functionalist forms. It is located on one of the few romantic streets in Brno - Minoritská Street. The main asset of the café became the proximity of the baroque façade of the Minorite Church, which creates an almost "Roman" relaxed atmosphere behind the glass shop windows. Among the original parts of the house, built by Rudolfína and Jakub Rosenberg, the interesting spiral central staircase has been preserved. Other elements such as the windows and portal were no longer original. In the 1930s, it housed a textile store, which had a fabric warehouse located on a built-in gallery on the second floor. The portal was rebuilt in the 1970s and replaced with an inferior quality aluminum, and the façade was covered with an inappropriate paint.
In the ground floor of the café, there is a bar and necessary facilities in addition to table seating. The toilets for visitors and additional seating areas are located on the upper floor. The café has a total of about 50 seats.
Part of the café is a newly designed interior staircase connecting the first and second floors and a new circular opening in the gallery.
The façade features a new portal spanning two floors of the café. The portal is designed from atypical steel rolled profiles in black color with an inlaid cladding of polished golden travertine. The portal is designed to open fully in width for the summer season. The left and right parts of the portal contain entrances to the café and the residential building. The interior of the café is designed with oak veneers, stained in honey shades and bordered with massive oak profiles. The cladding includes integrated indirect lighting with LED sources. The floor is laid with white travertine tiles. The body of the bar is covered with black glass mosaic. Benches along the walls are upholstered in black leather, while the black tabletops feature an integrated white travertine slab. The chairs are bent, made of beech, black with woven backs. In the space, prominent lights hang above the tables and a central light in the circular gallery. They are made from thin natural veneers, tinted red.
