This weekend retreat is located on the outskirts of a recreational settlement in Malá Hraštice near the Brdy forests. It was designed as a replacement for the original cottage, which did not meet spatial or hygienic requirements. The pair of gable roofs allows for efficient use of the attic space while maintaining a pleasant scale of the cottage that fits the character of the area. We have purposefully utilized every centimeter of the interior space, although we let the height of the building stand out in the living area. The interior is simple, from the beginning of the design considering an economical solution and utilizing clever carpentry fixtures supplemented with a few pieces of furniture.
