House in Vrané nad Vltavou

The house is embedded in the sloping terrain on the right bank of the Vltava River. The plot was complex due to its triangular shape and significant slope oriented to the north. But at the same time, it is beautiful and intimate thanks to the large number of mature walnuts and cherries, surrounded by neighboring gardens, and offering beautiful views of the forests on the opposite bank of the river.

The layout of the house fully adapts to these conditions and provides a balanced compromise between the requirements for tranquility and privacy and also for plenty of sunlight and contact with the garden. It is shaped into the floor plan of an open L-letter and spread over two floors and one mezzanine. In the highest part of the plot, the house is single-story; this is where the shared living space with the kitchen, dining area, and seating is located, featuring large corner glazing opening onto the terrace. This part of the house, surrounded by mature trees and the furthest from the entrance to the plot, enjoys complete privacy and is illuminated by the southern and western sun. It forms a mezzanine between two bedroom floors. In the lowest – northern – part of the plot, oriented towards the entrance, the house has two floors – on the ground floor, there are the children's rooms, a bathroom, and technical facilities; above them is the parents' bedroom with beautiful views and a bathroom and dressing area, as well as an open library with its own terrace. The main entrance to the house is located in the central part of the layout, at the level of the shared living space.

Adjacent to the main house is a garden shed that includes a garage, storage, and a gardener's room. It directly connects to a narrow access road that surrounds the plot, bordered only by gardens, linking it to the municipal road.

The construction of the house is monolithic concrete with hollow brick walls. The façade consists of a contact insulation system combined with a ventilated façade made of tropical wood. The windows are aluminum with triple glazing, partially motorized. The house utilizes a heat pump and solar energy.
