EMA espresso bar

EMA espresso bar
EMA espresso bar has grown in the place of the Modrý bar café. The Modrý bar was carefully dismantled and soaked in oil from fries. The uncompromising clearance revealed the concrete skeleton in all its glory, but also the lamentable state of all surfaces. The ceiling, walls, and floors underwent thorough refurbishment. Everything is white, except for the floor with a concrete topping.
The spatial division was clear from the beginning. To leave the large space without built-ins and to arrange all the facilities into two floors of a "projection" behind the bar. On the upper floor, there is staff quarters and toilets for guests, while the kitchen is on the ground floor. The washing counter was succeeded in fitting under a comfortable gentle staircase to the upper floor along with the shelves. The staircase also includes a bench for those still waiting for their turn. The space is dominated by a 6.7 m long bar, where coffee orgies gradually take place from left to right. Tables, benches, and the bar counter are made of larch, while the shelves, the staircase structure, and the front of the bar are made of lacquered steel sheet. The plinth in the display window and the bench by the stairs are covered with white ceramic tiles of 15 x 15 cm. A striking element is the refurbished school chairs, which remind of the time when there was one landline in the street and Isaac Asimov was writing about the internet.
