Industrial offices Futured
The new headquarters of Futured reflects the evolution of the development company over the past few years. The client, for whom we designed offices back in 2018, approached us again after several years with the need for new representative spaces that would better reflect the character of the company. In the design of the new headquarters, we build upon the previous startup interiors designed in the spirit of modern industrial 2.0, and we elevate the design to the wave of digitalization and hi-tech atmosphere in the context of a new modern office district – to industrial 3.0.
Work-life balance at the workplace
The new offices of the company are located in the Vlněna Office Park in Brno. The company's headquarters spans nearly 500 m2 across the sixth and seventh floors of the tallest building. The lower floor is conceived as the primary space for work and meetings. Individual work zones are effectively separated by boxes with meeting rooms, phone booths, and a tea kitchen with seating. The open space thus gains complexity, providing a sense of calm and privacy.
On the seventh floor, the building significantly recedes, creating space for a pleasant rooftop terrace with a view of the complex. In its vicinity, we propose the main community zone with a kitchen and generous lounge seating, where employees can play table football or enjoy playing on the PlayStation in the comfort of a soft couch.
The variability of the community space was crucial for the investor. We therefore selected standard furniture to allow for simple rearrangement for various occasions, such as informal meetings, leisure activities, or company-wide gatherings. Employees also have hot-desking workstations and a multifunctional room on the floor, which can be used for workshops, yoga classes, or even table tennis matches.
The DNA of the company, the DNA of the space
The design of the offices draws on the idea of a hi-tech environment and the dynamic identity of the company. The geometry of the Futured logo provides the basis for the creation of a regular grid with beveled corners, which is reflected in the kitchen cladding, acoustic elements, and carpentry sets. Neutral gray shades are complemented by bold accents of reflective orange color derived from the visual style of the development company.
The foundation of the material palette is silver brushed metal, which with its sheen and purity elevates the impression of the interior to a sci-fi atmosphere. We apply it in the form of trapezoidal sheets for cladding, on the metallic floor, and in the details of atypical features and lighting. For the table tops in the meeting room and the bar cladding in the main kitchen, we choose solutions from the Czech brand Plastic Guys made from recycled plastic. We use materials in larger areas as individual boxes, which together create a calm space for life in the office. A space that will be completed by people.
