The Bez frází project has newly found its headquarters in Holešovice, on the ground floor and basement of a historic building from the early 20th century. The investor had a vision of creating a space with a distinct character for the Bez frází editorial team, where you won’t feel like you’re in an office.
We respect the original layout and the individual spaces defined by arches. In the entrance hall, you can purchase books and merchandise under the lighting designed by Herrmann and Coufal. The office space itself is dominated by a library made of natural oak veneer, which hides almost all storage spaces, a kitchenette, and a restroom. It is no coincidence that the arrangement of workspaces appears somewhat random, and the meeting room invites openness. The desired effect of relaxation does not only influence the editors themselves but also the sports personalities who often come between these walls with very intimate confessions. Glazed walls and curtains allow for varying degrees of privacy and atmosphere. This is further supported by the variability of lighting. The overall tuning of the interior in light neutral colors accentuates the individual color accents of selected pieces of furniture. Cobalt blue Oslo armchairs by Muuto, a dark burgundy meeting table with chairs by Hay, or comfortable Cosm office chairs by Herman Miller in red. Everything is underscored by the large-format tiles of Mutina Primavera designed by Barber and Osbergy.
In the former basement, a fully-fledged recording studio has been newly established, complete with amenities and a lounge for guests. This space serves multiple functions, including being a photo studio and screening room. Subtle seating furniture from the Oslo collection by Muuto allows for quick reconfiguration to meet the needs of the space. The black and white color scheme, derived from the Bez frází visuals, is broken up by the use of colorful neon tubes from Hay.
