Area:119 m2

Northwest slope and already excavated large cut for a completely different house. At first glance, this was not an ideal starting line for this project. Ultimately, as I firmly believe, thanks to the accommodating and constructive approach of the clients, it was possible to deal with all the drawbacks, resulting in an unconventionally designed house that actually benefits from these circumstances.
We placed the main living space on the upper floor, where it could be connected by a wooden bridge to the upper level of the garden and also provide a panoramic view of the valley. We positioned horizontal windows under the roof facing the forest, and from the living room, there is a beautiful view of the treetops on the opposite side.
The ground floor includes compact rooms for sleeping and working, sanitary facilities, and a spacious storage area.
The investors looked forward from the beginning to a maximally natural house that would acquire a gray-black patina as soon as possible. Wood is abundantly used in the interior as well. Structural visual elements are exposed and wooden floors are laid.

Structure: two by four system with a diffusively open composition
Exterior envelope: larch wood cladding
Floors: solid oak floor, sanitary facilities and entrance hall – ceramic tiles
Heating: Ecora ceiling heating panels, fireplace stove in the main living room
Roof: RUUKKI metal – folded metal
