Pharmacy Hradební

Pharmacy Hradební
The pharmacy is located on the ground floor of a newly constructed multifunctional building in the center of Uherské Hradiště.
At the same time as the assignment for the pharmacy solution, a proposal for a rheumatological and osteological clinic was being developed for the same client, which is located in the same building. Therefore, the logical requirement of the client was to connect these tasks using the same expressive means, indicating a consistent material and shape tone. White was chosen as the unifying and characteristic means of expression for both healthcare facilities.

The original empty commercial space was divided with drywall partitions into individual workstations and the necessary background for the pharmacists, and primarily the sales area itself. Custom-designed pieces of furniture were inserted into the sales section. The display cases are hung on reinforced drywall walls. Prominently positioned at the entrance are distinctly shaped sales counters, which appear to be split into three parts. Together with the display cases, they contribute to lightening the space. Each counter has designed shelves, pull-outs, space for computers, and serves as a separate sales unit. A large furniture partition, which creates an optical separation between the operational and sales parts of the pharmacy, serves as storage for the most frequently used medications. The wall is double-sided and serves as a stockroom for medicines from the side of the background.

A high standard of chosen materials was a given from the assignment. The furniture is made of lacquered MDF boards with a high gloss. After a long selection process, the flooring was chosen to be practical in gray large-format tiles. The white space is accented by RGB LED strips that highlight the sales areas. The lighting that penetrates through the extensive glazing into the street-level space also serves as a clearly recognizable light attraction. The main lighting consists of recessed lines of fluorescent lamps integrated into the drywall ceiling.
