Because the Myslbek Passage has an extraordinary position in the pedestrian zone and the building is named after a significant Czech artist, our strategy, together with the investor (AEW), focused on transforming it into a place with a unique atmosphere. CMC won the competition for the new design in 2014, and AEW essentially asked us to help with the 'rebirth' of this prestigious transitional urban commercial space and to transform it into a more artistic and dynamic center of activity. CMC's response was a series of elegant, touch-friendly surfaces, designed in collaboration with AHK (Zdeněk Hölzel and Jan Kerel), with Maxim Velčovský (LASVIT) invited to participate in the design of the central artistic object or glass sculpture placed under the existing dome. Our intention was to capture the moment, convey exciting ideas, and leave a lasting memory in the minds of visitors. Myslbek now lives and is a passage full of energy, meanings, and mysteries. It breathes new life as an important part of a series of Prague's famous passages and corridors.

The centerpiece of the Myslbek shopping center passage is a unique light installation by Lasvit, designed by designer Maxim Velčovský in collaboration with David Chisholm and Vít Másl. The impressive sculpture, named Vortex, is more than twelve meters wide and seven meters high, made up of nearly 700 glass components crafted from hand-blown flat glass. Designer Maxim Velčovský was inspired by the central atrium and the dynamics of the entire space. The installation represents a crystal vortex that is drawn into the interior of Myslbek. It is created by multiplying glass components, representing a three-dimensional simulation of movement in space and time.

In making changes or replacements of elements, we focused on the surfaces of the columns, ceilings, lighting, escalators, dome shading, and the installation of the central glass object called VORTEX. Many internal installations were also modernized to meet current standards and generally improve the technical parameters of the first two commercial floors of the Myslbek Passage. All construction work had to be carried out only at night between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, so the passage would not have to be closed during regular opening hours. The general contractor was NEVŠÍMAL, commonly known as a very high-quality facade supplier, which currently has a separate division specializing in sophisticated and atypical interiors. The supplier of the glass sculpture was LASVIT.
