Palace KŘIŽÍK 2

Task — Completion of the Křižík Palace - office building with a ground floor featuring shops and a public passage. A developer project tailored to the needs of the tenant Seznam.cz.

Architecture — Two street wings complement the street front at the height level of the surroundings. There are two shops on the ground floor of Radlická. The passage through the courtyard rises with a two percent slope towards Kováků Street. The parallel light tunnel and entrance hall also share the same slope. Horizontal steps for the reception and meeting rooms emerge from the sloped concrete floor. A pair of atriums serve to vent the recovered air. Dominating the courtyard is a black prism of the staircase and elevators connected to the office wings by glass walkways. Offices are without ceilings, predominantly arranged in large spaces. The natural color of the concrete and galvanized sheet metal of the floor is complemented by black and white office furniture and color-accented relaxation areas and glass partitions separating the kitchenettes. The color scheme, including the information system, is different for each floor. Outdoor relaxation areas are significant in the design. On the roof of the entrance hall, there is a rooftop garden with a climbing wall and seating, while additional terraces are on the roofs. The spaces are freely accessible to employees, as is a fitness center in the basement. The underground follows the slope of the entrance hall. Below the technical floor, there are three levels of spiral garage with a half-ramp. The entrance is through the existing Křižík garages. The fully glazed facades have external sliding shading panels made of expanded metal. Except for the facade on Radlická, the facades feature opening flaps for natural ventilation. The building has a BREEAM Excellent rating.

Construction and Technology — Reinforced concrete skeleton, pre-tensioned walkways. Heating and cooling using heat pumps with ground boreholes. Offices equipped with floor induction units. Office lighting with LED panels.
