Addition of an office in Vysoké Mýto

A small courtyard, located in the interior block behind the main square, is enclosed by the blind walls of neighboring buildings, all packed tightly together. These limits gave the extension the shape of a tower with a minimal footprint and pushed it to the very edge, into the northern part of the lot. Thus, the courtyard remained airy, and the building in this position neither shades nor affects the surrounding structures. The reflective aluminum facade reflects the vibrant world of backyards, from which the extension draws its shape and character, while also contributing to the silhouette and presence. However, its placement in the background renders it invisible from a pedestrian's perspective.
Due to limited access to the construction site, feasibility, and the speed of construction, a lightweight wooden frame was chosen, based on strips, with beam ceilings and a ventilated folded facade, which was also used as roofing. The layout is simple – one room on each floor. Between the ground floor with the meeting room and the upper floor, there is a concealed operational staircase. The attic is supplemented with a studio north window spanning the entire width of the room, balancing the minimized southern window. A wooden interior was chosen for the civil metal facade. Modifications within the existing building primarily include connections with the extension on all floors and the renewal of technical equipment.
