The villa was built in 1936 by architect Josef Místecký as a prototype of economical housing. The author was a teacher at the local Vocational School for Wood Processing, and some of the interior elements were created in the workshops of this school. In the spirit of the original intention, the reconstruction also moved within the investment parameters of an economical investment plan. The aim of the reconstruction was to connect and free the layout of the house both at the level of individual floors and between the individual floors, with maximum respect for the original valuable interior and exterior elements. The intention was to create contemporary living for a three-member family. By removing the original (spatially unsuitable) garage on the first floor, a new entrance area was created facing the access road. The original spaces have been utilized as a summer hall with access to the garden. On the second floor, there is a living zone – a living space open through two levels with a kitchen, which, compared to the original so-called cabin layout, is connected to the living room. This living floor also includes a fireplace insert with a space for wood storage. The quiet zone is located on the third floor, where a bedroom with built-in wardrobes and access to a walkthrough bathroom with a shower is situated on the gallery. The staircase to the fourth floor was completely newly constructed for greater comfort. Its newly designed structure is conceived as built-in furniture with storage space. On the fourth floor, there is the original guest room with a through entrance hall leading to the terrace. The perimeter southern wall to the terrace was completely glazed. During the reconstruction, some valuable interior elements were preserved to the maximum extent possible, such as the original mahogany floor on the second floor, including the terrazzo surfaces of the staircase and floors on the first floor. The exterior of the villa was also preserved to the maximum extent possible, including compliance with period-typical details of functionalism.
